I feel strongly about the availability of opportunities for everyone to encounter music outside formal learning contexts, at all stages of their lives. In particular, I believe deeply that singing is good for people, whether as a first step towards other music making, or in contexts where the social and therapeutic benefits are centre-stage, or as a means of self-expression. Put simply, singing makes you happier and healthier, and I want to share its magical powers!

I have contributed to a wide range of creative projects. Most recently, I have been working for Wigmore Hall in their Chamber Tots programme, which delivers interactive workshops to under-5s and their families, based around themed classical music. I also lead singing sessions in Bristol for older adults for the charity ‘Goldies’. Previous work has supported various song-writing and composition projects, and singing as an intervention for perinatal mental illness. I have also given pre-concert talks, and devised programmes for family concerts.
